Posit: WebRTC killed network effects for video calling. You don’t have to install anything (on desktop), a call can just be a link, and you barely even need to know what service runs the call you’re joining.

I think we're going to see a second wave of apps that don't use video at all, and certainly not like that.

There is a lot of value in being able to see the faces of your team members, but I can absolutely see lots of other scenarios where video doesn’t add much
