That's how I feel too; it is the typical eng. mindset of fixating on interesting solutions over fixating on users and their problems. However, hopefully after this infra/protocol glut dies down, the actual use cases can emerge.

It does seem as if market opportunity for problems solvable via central databases if only they had the right UI+features vastly exceeds that of problems only solvable by decentralized DB. But have feeling I could be eating my words in 10 years given how much things change.
