I know right! They mailed us a new offer for 600 Mbps + TV, which is how I learned that they have higher speeds available now. They could just have upgraded the line

I changed it online to the 1000 Mbps plan (no TV) with a self-install kit. I also gave up on having my own modem, stopped being worth the savings...

Bought our own modem last year as the payback time was 6 months, but Comcast included the modem for free this time around

It’s pretty decent actually. Black, only 1 small light, text on the bottom. And dual-band wifi. Comes with a fairly usable configuration app for iPhone too.pic.twitter.com/ypQcRlB12F

It’s pretty insane to think that your YouTube video is h264 encoded over IP which is chopped up into a tv broadcast standard to go over coax cables though
