I guess these two numbers are pretty standard in epidemiological comparisons, but it was novel to me when I first saw the WSJ version.

I've always had an affinity for WSJ (especially print WSJ) for not just their coldhearted preference for facts over narratives+anecdotes, but also the number of charts they have and how crisp and smart they always look.

True. Those are very good. I just find it hard to stomach their capitalism-is-perfect opinion section
