No excuse to use it if you’re working at scale. The savings aren’t there, the overhead is probably still ridiculous.

There are actually great react-native apps out there. The bad ones are the ones you recognize as react-native.

I'm a contributor. Have some very specific thoughts here. RN is primarily an two way message queue that makes reusing js/react logic everywhere easy. It’s worth investing in, but ppl should write their own native wrappers and modules for best UX instead of using RN for everything

It's very similar to the windows example you give. Linux is great and commonly used for specific purposes. UX is often not one of them. You can run Linux on Windows and use this benefits. RN shouldn't be the user facing UX for the entire app - but where reusability > UX loss.
