Everyday the thought hits me that I live in a country with private health care and it bothers me equally every time. I moved away from Sweden almost 6 years ago, will I ever ever let this go or nah?
Interesting. What’s strange about that? Not that I need one, but I always assumed you get along with some doctors better than others so choice is important?

And yeah, the Dutch system is build around the idea that (1) your GP knows you and (2) they keep the system cost down by only referring you if it’s necessary

No choice is not important in health. My doctor is not there to sell me some idea that someone is better or not. Just book me in and I will go, doesn’t have to be complicated and open with 8484 different choices
