I thought banking was broken in the Netherlands but Canada is wild–individual accounts cost $10+ each unless you hold a minimum balance (in that account) and they pay basically no interest, good times
Paying directly for accounts is an equity problem, but unfortunately a side-effect of negative interest rates.

Payment requests work well now. Transfers are instant. ING app is good. Apple Pay is supported. What’s missing?

French banks on the other hand… have terrible apps. Hard to transfer money. Weird security rules.
