Why can you swipe or dip on a @Square terminal before you give your name, but not use contactless?
The option to use contactless doesn’t seem to be available before the staff types my name at multiple coffee places in SF, while swipe/dip is not problem. Not sure why, but it’s pretty consistent

You shouldn't have to provide a name when paying using a Square Terminal - adding a customer's name to a sale is always optional! If I've misunderstood your question, feel free to shoot us a private message so we can dig in.
