Very reassuring letter from the Dutch Immigration service sent to all Brits in Netherlands outlining what will happen in case of No Deal. Temporary residence letter to be sent out immediately after #Brexit day, then invited to apply in batches for a residence permit.

Ugh that letter arrived for me yesterday nd quite possibly one of the least reassuring letters I've ever received.

If you fall below the one criteria (even a little - for me by two months) the answer is vaguer than ever. Even the suggestions are we will *probably* do this.

This sucks massively for you and the uncertainty is terrible, but it is 100% a problem caused by the UK. However, I would have expected the Dutch government to say: Anyone who was here already at time of notification can stay.

It is a problem caused by them for sure, but Europe has utterly failed at coming up with much in the way of explaining anything, even if it's just "sorry, you have to leave"

Which is unfair and frustrating, but also *because* the UK has refused to do so for EU citizens there — which means it’s still part of the negotiation
