For the last four years living in The Netherlands I’m always shocked that cyclists never look over their shoulder to check for clearance before changing lanes.
Now I realise that for most of them it’s because they’ve never learnt how to drive

Interesting, but what’s the link between driving a car and driving a car, is it about checking whether the lane is free and hence if one drives a car one is more careful even while riding a bike?
