It’s all good mate! I thought something might have got lost in translation. Funnily enough, Deleuze was the secondary focus of my thesis at one point (the theory has since been broadened, but he’s still a big component).

Sounds familiar! Aside from the abstraction, it ended up too restrictive trying to relate Pynchon back to one theorist. Nowadays he’s treated more as a core point of reference, rather than a key to the novels.

I ended up writing about several writers and how they employ conspiracy theory. Pynchon is a unique stylist when he uses conspiracy theory in any way or form. He forces me to come up with my own theories to write about his style
