(I'm being serious here.) When Zuckerberg proposed a few years back to float weather balloons over parts of Africa to serve as antennae for satellite internet service, I thought then that those people there might want/need reliable food and water first. /1

Reading this, though, makes me realize Z's scheme was/is in perhaps unwitting service to something more insidious than the usual "tech will change/save the world" ideology. Thanks for sharing this.
