Hey, not true- Monkey looks up at birds all the time. Wells agreed with you though- he said in one of his stories that one of the differences between humans and animals is that the former never look up at the sky. FAKE NEWS.

Oh to clarify, Monkey is a dog- the name is a comment on the provisional nature of taxonomy and the arbitrariness of the sign. (And it's cute).
