Here are the controversial outtakes: —r/acc (⚙️) in the form of capital automation is identical to 🤖 (top-right corner), but moves leftward across the top of the chart the fashier it gets, until it becomes Futurism 2.0 (🚀).

—properly speaking the rightmost corners of the compass are not political, because they cede agency entirely to inhuman forces either mechanical (🤖) or natural (🌋). The only real difference between these positions is on the question of which force will guide us blindly forward.

—arguably, the same can be said of the leftmost corners as well, because they embrace two depoliticised ideals: Technocratic (🚀) and agrarian (🌾) quietism. For both, there is no alternative but the order of technical algorithms or natural cycles.

—the compass thus reaches absurdity on its far edges, where divergent philosophies meet on common points of praxis (and anti-praxis). A cylinder forms—the inhuman is given a face, and the human succumbs to mind-forged manacles.

—the compass stretches further upwards and downwards, revealing its shape as that of a torus. On the far side, where up- and down-wing meet, is the domain of The Solar Conspiracy (🌞). Here, Anonymous Materials (🌑) and the Forces of the Outside (🕳) wage telluric war.

—the whole compass is but a small fraction of the toroidal meshwork used to map the lives and opinions of the People to Come (🕴). In future days there will be a compass and an emoji to describe the arc of every object across the universe.

—this whole compass is a work of theory-fiction, and we are part of the project. With humiliation, with terror, we understand that we are illusions, and that someone else is dreaming us.
