Looking at theoretical positions through the lens of trends peaks and fatigues is not the best heuristics tho

Very true, and I’m not in full agreement with how Galloway frames the issue. But I do agree on two points: the shortcomings of the trend as a theoretical issue (Culp’s Dark Deleuze is convincing in this respect—affirmation too often begets complacency), and...

...and that it is a trend with a range of expression limited by a its own enforced positivity. I’d like to think that with fatigue will come more interesting and critical takes on the topic. Even in Bennett or Braidotti there are traces of negativity to be explored.

Agreed. But as
@deontologistics outlined, the conflation of various types of negativity, which was the first sin of Deleuze’s in many respects, is what desperately needs critique, and, really, taking leave

Sorry this is poor Deleuze. One of his most fundamental contributions is the embrace of ill-will in relation to philosophic positivity. If he revised this later in life it was to highlight the importance of affinity and friendship, much more tenuous and fragile

There is some redeeming irony to this lazy, "timely" take: Galloway's prominently name-checks both Daniel Colucciello Barber and Andrew Culp who have been doing the "work" of thinking a deleuzian negativity instead of just conceding his legacy to peak red bull or whatever.

The more one expand the more void there is to fill, but if in the other direction, contraction, we get precision? It’s almost like when you have big closet you buy all sort of clothes, but if you can only wear one, which will it be?
