Very interesting! Does Ingold refer at all to Paul Klee? He’s one of Deleuze’s (& Guattari’s) main points of reference in regards to lines—and perhaps unspoken in the above passage: “[the strata] force something new to be seen” (cf. “render visible, Klee said” in ATP, p. 342).
