Buddy, reboots, remakes, retakes, and rehashes are Hollywood's bread and butter. Which rock did you spend the last few decades sleeping under?
For the record the reboots, remakes, retakes, and rehashes didn't really start until sometime around 2014 that's when that whole "let's bring back movies in 3D" was showing early signs of a lack of creativity in Hollywood...
