Trey Trainor’s nomination as @FEC commissioner is yet another example of how the current nomination process produces commissioners who are opposed to the mission of the agency – resulting in an explosion in secret spending in elections.

For @FEC to protect the voices of all voters, not just special interests, the agency & the nomination process must be reformed.

Congress has the power to restructure the @FEC and the nomination process to safeguard against divides that have produced an agency that fails to do its job to enforce campaign finance laws

Also, another example of norms broken. Stacking the commission by choosing Republicans but not Democrats?. If this is what #MoscowMitch and Trump are doing, Democrats will be justified in doing it when they have power. Disgraceful, and defining deciancy down again

It’s not the process that produces FEC commissioners opposed to the agency’s mission. It’s the Republican Party.

Many people are misinformed. Not due to their laziness but rather, a direct attack by Corporate News media. Corporations, by definition, are money making entities. They are not about informing the public. They use their means to divide people. Then they keep their money & power.
