UT hadn’t had a football coach not last at least 5 years on the job since Blair Cherry lasted 4 from 1947-1950... until Charlie Strong (3) and Tom Herman (4) came along. Those two firings cost UT $24 million: $9M for Strong and $15M for Herman.
I don’t like it Mike! I understand the desire (or expectation here) to annually compete for national titles but there are really only 3 coaches in the country currently delivering on that expectation & none of them is being hired here
