    Just got back into Ubon from camping a few days. I think half of Bangkok is here. Talk about a super spreader long weekend. 😬

    Wish it was nice enough to do this year round. This is about 30 minutes north of Khong Chiam, Ubon. Pick a cliff and start climbing. With some organized trail maintenance, maybe add a bike trail, Ubon could really boost its domestic tourism.

    Still trying to figure out if I need to cancel my Chiang Mai trip. Getting different answers on quarantine and being bounced to other offices.

    Someone in our provincial health department told me that anyone returning from Chiang Mai/Rai has to do a 14 day quarantine. I can’t find any official documents about it. Is this happening anywhere in Thailand?

    If you’ve ever wanted a nice resort to yourself with the kids, now is the time to head South. 0 people at the pool and 2 people on the beach the entire day. Huge discounts in Phuket too. Reminds me of 2005. However, there are 30 Thais taking selfies around the hotel grounds. 😂

    The police called asking the very same questions as the military, as part of the security plan for the visit of their Majesties the King and Queen to Ubon Ratchasima. The police also asked I’ve any plan for travelling in the next few days.

    The military called to ask for my accommodation, car registration number, and my plan. It’s an order from Bangkok, as part of the security plan for visit of their Majesties the King and Queen to Nong Paphong Temple in Ubon Ratchathani, on 27 Oct

    Ubon's pollution isn't as bad as the North, but last night it dropped to the lowest level in months and the sky was crystal clear with a coolish breeze. And the city was silent again thanks to the curfew.

    I respectfully ask to use their influence to ask the Immigration Bureau to either offer an automatic two month extension of stay to all foreigners in whose visa is about to expire. Or at the least, allow tourists & expats to extend their stay online. Thank you.
