    So my first full-fledged console release as a Localization Director is out there in the wild. I hope you all enjoy Resident Evil 3 and Resistance, a lot of hard work went into making them the best games we could!

    I’ve had conversations about this with several people who had absolutely no idea about these origins. If you came across this “word”secondhand or whatever and never knew, I’m not going to hold it against you. But please, retire it from your lexicon, because now you know better.

    I'm tired of saying this. "reeeee" is an ablest dogwhistle started by 4chan. It makes fun of autistic people having meltdowns. Even if you're not using it, "in an inoffensive way," it's a dogwhistle. Dogwhistles attract those who would.

    You’d think the Twitter algorithm could realize that any tweet starting with “LRT:” should have the thing that user just retweeted placed in the timeline with it. I guess making people click into profiles and scroll through other stuff pumps up the metrics though?

    Hey yall. After weeks of medication and visits to the new vet/animal hospital, it looks like I will need to get a CT scan and possible surgery for Purrcy. I started a Gofundme for him in hopes to get him feeling better as soon as possible.

    As a long-term resident you almost never use your passport, but it serves as the basis for all of your official documentation which you *will* use. I can’t believe the JET Program never even thinks to mention this to its successful applicants. It would save so much hassle.

    “Get a passport issued without your middle name on it” would be my number-one piece of advice for anyone relocating to Japan for anything more than a quick visit, and the thing I most deeply wish I had been told. It’s astonishing it still isn’t accounted for in most systems.

    Having a middle name here is the most inconvenient thing ever. My gaijin card carries my middle name, but my credit card and bank card do not. The order of my name is also reversed on my bank card (first name first, then last name) This creates all kind of confusion all the time

    There’s also that weird compounded thing where you have a thought while reading Twitter, then when you’re ready to do something else you realize you lost the thought. So you go scrolling back through the timeline hoping that it will return by like, resonant energy or something.

    You know when you're scrolling Twitter and the TL suddenly refreshes for no reason while you're in the middle of reading something so you have to scroll back to try to find it again? That's what ADHD feels like. All day.
