The article is pretty lame. Ancient Greece was *exceptionally* gay. Attested examples of homosexuality are orders of magnitude more common than in any other major culture. No gay utopia, maybe, but still requires explaining.

Saying that men were shamed for being too eager or that some gay lovers killed themselves doesn’t prove they weren’t guy. Very much the contrary.
