But they're happy to leave a dozen or more in the moral limbo of cold storage after IVF. Automatically screen, put probabilities on each tube, let the parents decide, throw in some financial incentives (advanced reimbursement for future societal costs not to be incurred).

Unless you force them to have children by some other means (e.g. make it a requirement for college or something) most women just won’t have children unless it’s by Mr. Big. They’ll just wait and fuel the IQ shredder.

I too have doubts about the prospect of mass societal buy-in, even with free money. I can do without engineering super-humans--we just need enough selection to maintain the presence of favorable gene factors in the overall gene pool. Then random mating redistributes the wealth.
