China seems to think it can keep growing by going colonial, replacing ties with the west with Africa and "BRICS". I guess they do really believe the Leninist idea about the west becoming rich through colonial exploitation.https://twitter.com/niubi/status/1027683386268286980 …

Which is lunacy. Growth comes from trading with rich nations. Poor nations are poor and don't have spending ability. Which is why western powers ended up moving troops to enforce their claims. China can't do that and will get fleeced. Ah, Marxists.

The West isn't going to shut China out. There's too much money to be made. China's 'threat' to the West is a long-term issue, like 50 years long-term, whereas China's market remains the biggest opportunity in the world, by far, even with the constraints on foreign entry.

The China threat machine is very well funded. The Panda hugging machine isn't. That should tell you what markets think about where the money is.

Learning that China has zero influence in Washington DC was kind of surprising. Not sure what they've been doing. Literally nobody has come out to bat for them.

The foreigners they have been funding are hilariously bad. I think they've grown used to cheap labor.

I just recalled, you should take a look at the nato foundation saga. Chinese propaganda making up Italian PhDs. 哭笑不得, as they say.
