love my partner. They've said they're so proud of me and are happy to see me happy with myself. All of my friends bar one were awesome too and said it didn't change me. Best thing to hear

I never came out...it just was what it was which is wonderful. When I was 15 though my mum brought to cups of tea into my bedroom on a Sunday morning as she knew I’d been out the night before and heard another guys voice in my bedroom

Ah we've all been there! Had that with an ex and his mum. That's good that it was all accepted though

In 1987 at 16 I told my parents I was gay and then left to stay with friends. As I left my mum asked to me see a counselor to find out why I fancied men. I told her I would if she would!! 2 days later she came to find me at work with this key-ring which I've kept to this daypic.twitter.com/WBJbdZSjcs

I hid it for ages. I started dating a guy, he told me if I didn’t tell my parents he would end it. So I told my parents, best thing I ever done! My whole family are brilliant, even the ones I thought would have an issue.

That's great to hear! I don't know how I feel about him giving you that ultimatum though
