Yes what SpaceX claims to do actually takes decades of R and D . 2-3 years and you are ready with a reusable ,low cost Rocket to trip Mars that’s not possible you could come close though

SpaceX has 2 decades of experience. Development for raptor started in 2009. In 2014 SpaceX started to develop Starship in Boca.
