It makes sense. .08x25 = .08x.25x100 = 100x.08x.25. You can move the 100 wherever you want. Full disclosure, this never occurred to me either.

That's exactly how I always calculated percentages, so this doesn't really help me any.

This was in one of my math classes at some point and it was so counterintuitive I never forgot it. But I never would have thought of it myself, even though it is just... the commutative property of multiplication now that I think about it for a minute
