I had the fortune to actually meet a survivor once on the train en route to London. He had the infamous green arm ID tattoo. So I asked him about it and we spoken briefly. He sent me his story and it was beyond harrowing. Death was everywhere with cruelty and evil running rife.
-
I was lucky enough to meet a survivor as well and hear his story and how he escaped to the USA. Was powerful stuff.

I remember in nursing school...one of my patients was a camp survivor. Had tattooed forearm. It's not something you forget, especially for me as a Jewish woman. That people doubt it happened astounds me; people also believe the Earth is flat, too, though. Idiots believe anything.
-
There's also a difference between questioning the Holocaust (which is still awful) and claiming "Hitler was good" as this person did.

I recently came across a picture of the nail marks on the walls inside the gas chambers. For the longest time my brain tried to soften the blow by convincing me the gas simply put everyone to sleep before they died. The truth hurts, and flat-out denial is an insult to the victims

I stood inside that gas chamber and saw it with my own eyes. And the zyclon b gas stains on the ceiling. It's horrifying.
