I’d like to weigh in, as in other esports there are commentators that have direct affiliation to organizations competing similar to this situation. I think a line is set with what can be said and what can’t be said. But wicked has always done a great job of being unbiased (1)
I don't know of commentators in any T1 esport for a major tournament or even similar that have been signed to an org competing in the event. In a tournament of this caliber I fully understand the desire of other teams to maintain the integrity of the competition.
Might check League of Legends. Multiple commentators and on desk analysts that are also GM’s or affiliated with an org in some sort of respect. Many in fact.
