Good on you for standing your ground. Hopefully I'll be there one day. I've yet to make any $$ in esports. So it's been a labor of love. Esports is still trying to evolve passed it's grassroots of the early years. But there are some people who are still stuck in the past.
People who allow themselves to be exploited are just another part of the problem. It’s not just the companies.

True. So how would you suggest someone like me - who is still building a caster portfolio - find work when no one is willing to pay? Do I sit idly by not working because no one will hire me? How do people know me if I don't work? Just trying to understand.

It's definitely a tough. It doesn't come without sacrifices. I've had to forgo family events or cancel travel plans in order to take the few paying casting jobs I've been offered.
