I would love to see an event, especially one as short as NPL Royale, keep points from groups stage into finals. Perhaps scaled down to allow for comebacks. Makes every game important and performance in groups matter.

No, nation's cup had a different system which was if you are certain # of points ahead, the next game would vwin
It was a point threshold. If you got that many points then it triggered a condition: Get a chicken dinner and you close the tournament out.
Finland was the team that hit the threshold on the first day
