F*CK SAAAAAKE!!!
Dear governments across the world can you PLEASE just have an 'esports athlete = 100% visa guaranteed' selection for players to select when applying for visas? This is getting so damn old and I feel incredibly bad for all the players suffering from it.

It’s weird though, it is pretty easy to get a visa to Shengen zone. Unless you go for a German one

Why would they? I’ve always traveled for tourneys with a tourist one

maybe because you already had one? when you’re getting a new visa specifically for a tournament it’s considered a business visit visa and it’s not easy to get, for example in Germany you have to have a local legal entity to be able to give people invites for such visas.

I don’t understand why cannot you simply get a tourist visa, that’s what I did for every single tournament and everything was ok.

because from a legal perspective that’s what you’re supposed to do. it’s a business trip for you, not an excursion. a lot of people travel for events with tourist visas, doesn’t fully make it the right thing to do though.

Toby got in big boi trouble for trying to game the visa system in the US. There are big time consequences especially if you’re trying to continue traveling for esports.

I understand that but for many cis players it’s either risk of gaming with a tourist visa or not gaming anywhere whatsoever

That’s really unfortunate
