I think the red carpet protest is a fantastic idea. Especially because it will subvert everything we hate about the red carpet interview routine. But it can be hard for people not to revert to "cute" when talking about clothing because we're not really taught to take it seriously

Also, the sheer effort from stylists and fashion brands to pull this off is major. Designers begin making custom dresses months in advance, and stylists build a careful narrative of gowns (frankly, its own campaign). And NEVER WEAR BLACK is a red carpet fashion gospel
