There's arguably a more complicated question when we're talking about other roles. Do students have a right to know if their professor privately or anonymously endorses racist views? I'm inclined to think so, but the potential damage is weaker. In medicine, it's strong.

So, in your view, would a psychiatrist writing about say, his own gender dysphoria have a right to do it anonymously, because he felt it would interfere with his patient's treatment?

A psychiatrist writing anonymously about their own conditions should be protected, as long as there's no reason to think that it somehow reflects a potential ethical conflict with their treatment of patients.
