They're still uncovering undetonated WW2 bombs all over Germany. People are still being killed by landmines and unexploded bombs in Cambodia and Vietnam. They are still removing landmines in the Balkans. And don't get me started on what's happening in Africa or The Middle East..

Yes. I recall an article how a 2015 (2016?) hurricane caused civil war cannonballs to surface on a beach, but were detonated out of safety concerns.

Sadly, my rhetorical part didn't shine through my comment. Sadly, an grenade was just caught by an angler (in Iowa? Maybe?). And a couple of weeks ago there was another found in the woods grenade news story in the US. We shouldn't need the landmines.
