I like reading stories about people receiving large swaths of money. It’s interesting how nearly everybody fucks up the opportunity. I don’t think UBI would be good for most people. It’s not clear they would make the best decisions for it. We spend money like it’s food, with no thought of tomorrow. Also, it’s unclear why you would get a job or pursue a career when you’re receiving money.

Far from helping people, I think UBI would actually make a lot of people’s lives worse, because the lack of a goal would lead to a lack of meaning, leaving them physiologically vulnerable to addiction and depression.
