What sucks about being kicked out of the #YouTubePartnerProgram isn't the money—I got a video demonetized the other day for talking about my eating disorder. I get demonetized for talking about being gay. What sucks is the principle of it, and losing access to features. @YouTube

We carefully considered the growth of smaller channels in the decision making process. Monetization doesn't impact how videos appear in search or how they're promoted/recommended. Also creator features and tools are still available.

Questions: 1) End screens & cards are available only if the creator is "currently" a partner, implying that newbies won't have access to these features? Without annotations or end screens, small channels won't be able to have anything clickable. This is a problem.pic.twitter.com/NQbb3VSQFI

2) The thresholds of subscribers and watch time don't match up.
@ItsRadishTime BARELY met the requirement, and she has 10k subs, weekly videos, and 1000-2000 views per video. A channel with 1000 subs isn't going to meet that 4000 hour requirement. I have 2000 subs and I didn't.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
What new measures will you implement to ENSURE that up-and-coming content is promoted across the site? Will there be a Trending page for smaller creators? Will there be a Rewind for promising content? Will animators, who make shorter videos, be boosted?
