visidata requires that everything's already in columns and rows, which it's pretty far from. I'll give it a look, though!

How do you get Excel to do anything with data that's not already in columns and rows? VisiData is great for taking lines of unstructured data and splitting/capturing/filtering (with regex) it into columns, at least. Which AFAIK Excel cannot do at all.

I have a shitload of JSON data that I'm manually building queries for in Python, then copying that data into Excel and abusing the shit out of pivot tables. It's not the best workflow for this particular project, but the end goal is the charts and Excel makes it easy.
