Other people loathe his tempos (which have been described as comical), but the end of his recordings of the 9th Symphony are just glorious and thrilling.

I know this might be a hot take, but Sir Roger Norrington is a way underappreciated Beethoven conductor. I've loved his previous recordings of Beethoven symphonies, and just started digging into his 2020 recordings of the symphonies - and they're great!

I've been learning to draw a bit. Today's goal with to experiment with India ink and brushes, and quite happy with how it turned out. Feel like I should have been braver with the amount of black though.

As everyone parses Disco Elysium: A Final Cut's refused classification, it's worth remembering how none of this is actually the Classification Board's fault -- it's the Government and how the classification system was established in the first place

16th century knives featuring sheet music on them, so guests can sing together at the end of the meal. Each knife appears to have a different line of harmony to the others.

How is it fair to any of us who have written a song in the last 51 years, that both "The Weight" and "I shall be released" were released on the same album? How can any of us measure up to that!?

First game of Small World in ages. That game shines at 5. Snuck away with a win too - my Flying Trolls were making me points until turn 7.

How about a game show where two teams of journalists are given a story about a hotel quaraneen security guard with COVID-19 but don't get told if it's in NSW or Victoria? The journalists then have to decide whether or not it's the Premier's fault.

This is extraordinary! Even for Murdoch. Murdoch's Alan Jones using his “news” program to issue instructions to Victorian Liberal powerbrokers to "start making calls" and install Murdoch's Peta Credlin as leader. Murdoch isn't a news organisation. It’s a political party.
