Time for my periodic public callout of @UMG, who claimed this video, specifically the song starting at 13:43, an extremely clear-cut example of fair use, as the discussion is the lyrics of the claimed song. There's subtitles and everything.https://youtu.be/xU1ffHa47YY?t=823 …

Anyway,
@UMG, release the claim. Taking this all the way to court is not worth the $300 in escrow for your shitty midrolls.Show this threadThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Because, according to those terrible "Copyright Breakdown!" and/or "Fair Use Explained!" videos they keep churning out to stick on our dashboards, "Fair Use is complicated and can only be decided by the courts!" So they can wash their hands of any and all responsibility.

Wait, I thought there was this whole change where claimed videos were supposed to just be demonitized? There was that big change earlier this year after after all the articles about people abusing the copyright system, right? So that companies didn't claim just for money?
