Also I'm feeling some... well some kind of something that corporations are incorporating spoiler culture into marketing. What was a fan culture term is now a major factor in the marketing of what will likely be the highest grossing film of all time. Things that make you go "hmm"

I feel in twenty years or so, we're gonna get whole "DisneyWar" type book about all these movies.

It was pretty convenient that it only spoiled parts of the cool stuff and nothing major.........plus it generated more publicity.....

Clearly it didn't work cause I have not heard of any leaks
-
It worked. The leaks were everywhere. You just got outrageously lucky.
-
So did I apparently. But I also have a terrible memory for anything I want to ignore so that could also explain it.
-
In a way that’s better than nothing.

It didn't even spoil anything that isn't already pre-spoiled by either genre savvy or familiarity with the subject matter. Does anybody smell potting soil?

So that people would rush out to see it to avoid spoilers? Like I did you mean?
-
Hey, sometimes you need those spoilers when the marketing team fucked up.

Mmm I don't follow the logic of the leaked being fake.
-
It feeds into people thinking "There are spoilers everywhere, I need to see the movie NOW before I get spoiled!" Which seems to be a core part of the marketing campaign.

How weird that a company famous for its security would spring a leak. Almost as if it were the endgame all along.

I’m starting to think that “leak” was just trailer footage they decided to hold off on once they decided they would barely show anything, cause it was all money shots with little plot detail. I mean we had small leaks before but after that?
#DontSpoilTheEndgame
was a thing -
I didn't check the leaked until after I watched the movie but what I could find it basically spoils the ending (The teary bit).
-
I’m not sure you’re seeing the same leak to be honest, cause the leak I remember seeing did spoil the last act, but just the badass part. The kind of thing most movies would show to hype people for the last trailer
-
Right I didn't seen the leak (cpuldn't find it) but an article with screenshots of said leak (from before the official release) and what I saw did the ending not just action bits. So it possible that there was more than one leak?
-
I suppose, I know there was a few after Tuesday when it was released for early screenings, but the five minute leak that sparked the
#DontSpoilTheEndgame
campaign came about a week or so ago -
I’ve seen ALL of the leaks because I have no self control, haven’t seen the full movie. From what I saw: -The badass long part -The teary bit -The other midway in the movie teary bit -bunch of plot scenes that were cut together All equated to about 25 minutes of the film.
