I stopped reading or contributing to Hacker News a decade or more ago. The people there aren’t worth it. They’re mostly pseudo-intellectuals in the tradition of Paul Graham - meaning they use big words, without actually knowing anything about the topic.
Isn't part of the reason it's the way it is might because good people like you stopped contributing? I see stack overflow the same way, overrun by jerks because the good ones left.
