My top 2 are sleep or gym. I also journal so as to be present with the feelings of discomfort. Sometimes I’ll go get something nice to eat that makes me feel fancy.

Last night I read and let the sadness crack open. I sobbed and sobbed. Tonight I'm going to an ecstatic dance and sound healing. Then probably some quiet weeping. Used to be so afraid; I ever let myself feel all this sadness it would kill me. Grateful to be alive and breathing.

I appreciate the space to celebrate the process of caring for yourself through hard times. I like staying busy when I’m sad, but I’m learning that being in the feelings (journaling, music, walks) can be more healing than avoiding through distraction.

Lately I’ve been doing stretches, turning on podcasts to escape, closing my eyes and laying still. Other times I get so sad that it makes me tired, so I sleep it off.

I make myself a kids party on my coffee table. Buffet snacks,sandwiches,jelly and ice cream,cupcakes,milkshakes. I use a really old vintage tea set with a tiered cake stand etc. It’s everything. Hahahahaha. I’m middle aged. Hope you’re well friend.
