    PG&E's bankruptcy judge just approved a deal to settle the claims of 18 Tubbs Fire victims. They were supposed to be the subject of a trial this month about whether PG&E really did cause that 2017 Wine Country fire, which Cal Fire blamed on someone else.

    An attorney for the PG&E fire victims committee in the Ch 11 case just stressed an important point: under the $13.5B settlement, victims would *not* get stock directly. The *trust* gets stock, which would be liquidated by an administrator to pay cash to victims.

    PG&E has currently hardened 3% of its system. CEO Johnson, on when it will finish 100%: “long after I retire,” maybe 5-7 years. He says these are new programs and they will do a lot more as time goes on.
