There are fairly cheap external CD/dvd drives you buy! There are also CD-rws. Cds you can burn and then reburn other info onto. CD-rs are a one time burn. I remember the first time i heard that, blew my mind. Even does a little bit now remembering first learning this
Don’t forget dual layers for more data storage!
TBH, it was a joyful thing when the song you wanted came on and you hit the record button and you knew that you had it ... Then the DJ talked over the last minute of the song and you cried.
I used to get multiple recordings of the same song, find two where the DJ wasn’t taking over the same bit, and edit them together using a twin tape deck. Had it down to a fine art - some were virtually seamless.
Nah this is a solid question! Last three years CD drives have been scrubbed from hardware and we don't romanticize the 90's enough yet to have videos on that stuff. Anyway my personal answer was that you tried three times and it still managed to screw up the order.
We’d buy like 100 blank CDs at a time. You take one out, insert it into a disc drive, put together a playlist in iTunes (there were always like 3 songs you’d put on every playlist because you were obsessed with them), select “burn CD” from a drop down, and then wait 20 minutes.
