Roberts presided over a trial where obstruction prevented witnesses from being introduced. The trial basically put the Constitution in the hot seat & shredded it. When he said he wouldn't break a tie however, (even though the Constitution is at risk) I think he soiled his legacy.

I think he was in the planning meetings with McConnell and Cippilone. Someone should check Roberts bank account too...money flows real freely through the GOP Corruption machine.

Narrator: No, he did not. Roberts is just as bad as the faithless and feckless Republican Senators.

I don't agree with that! He was shown to be a spineless ultra-conservative potted plant, definitely not protecting our Constitution at all.

Doesn’t seem he took a chance one way or another. He sat there.

Don't forget he was used as a tool to help Rand Paul out the whistleblower.

CJ Roberts was a potted plant in the impeachment trial. He does not have power per se but he does have a voice. He didn't use it to enforce rule for Senators to remain seated; to call out obvious lies by Team Trump; to state "trials have witnesses." He disgraced himself. Coward.
