Sanders isn't even a Democrat? I don't totally dislike the guy, but why even HAVE a party if just anyone can cut in line and get in on the action?

Well, I've been a Democrat for my whole voting life - 34 years - and I think Bernie represents the best of our party's traditions and ideals. Obama is trying to save the dems from utter collapse. In return, the fringe calls him a republican. Sanders is a socialist. He literally can't win. People who believe he can are ignorant of every political reality in this country. Support for socialism peaked here in the 1910s.
