I’m all for stricter gun control laws but - maybe states that like gun control and elect people who pass gun control laws are statistically less likely to want and own guns in the first place. Are the laws the leading indicator here or trailing?

When we had a federal assault weapons ban, mass shootings declined considerably. When the ban expired, the mass shootings went up considerably. It’s not rocket science.
