Oh hell yes. I can’t wait to read this. Joe Rogan is a frustrating figure. He has a massive audience, and at times has incredible interviews with fascinating figures. But then he talks to Alex Jones for 5 hours and let’s him say whatever he pleases. Pisses me off.

I will say that there are some pretty good progressive commentators that use YouTube as a platform. They don’t have the massive following that many alt-right individuals do, but do have decent sized following and are credible. I like a few of them quite a bit.

It's so fixable and YouTube just does nothing. It's infuriating. Regulatory overreach would indeed be bad, but they're just begging for a heavy-handed government response.

YouTube has responded to the problem although not in a good way. They rely mainly on algorithms. Many videos by some of my favorite progressive commentators have been demonetized. By simply discussing the alt-right or Nazi groups, sometimes the videos get demonetized.

And now they use algorithms to try to push people to videos from traditional news sources like CNN, MSNBC, etc. So they’re trying. But now they’re just pushing corporate media.
