Tesla employs 35,000 Californians, 10,000 are at the plant. Average salary is $94,000. This is the same representative who sponsored AB5 and killed thousands of jobs. She's also funded by big oil, despite being a Democrat. She's a cancer to this state.

That’s 3.4bn dollars per year + operating costs. Tesla is paying its employees and you can see why they want to get them to work. Also they will be the last car factory to open and they have good experience with Shanghai on what to do. They need to continue to expand

For example, Musk could have invested in public transportation, which would be useful because a lot of American cities are way behind most countries on this matter. He didn't and prefer absurd project like tunnels for cars.
